Prayer for families in despair.

Lord,

You are a good, merciful, and unparalleled God, infinite in Your majesty and marvelous in all Your works. Thrice-holy God, today my heart cries out to You for all these families plunged into anguish and darkness, from whom a loved one has been torn away: a child, a sister, a brother, a father, or a mother.

O Eternal One, faced with the pain of these unspeakable absences, perform a miracle: bring them back safe and sound among their own.

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18

We expose our tears to Your light. You are the unshakeable refuge and faithful guardian of all who place their trust in You. Lord, work mightily in these families, so that they may find joy again, for Your glory, my wonderful Lord.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Listen to the lament of Your children, dry their tears and bring life back where despair reigns.
