A patient love, a never-failing love, the love of God.

I want to thank God on this day. I invite all of you today to think of all the times God has rescued you from a difficult situation; all the times God has healed you from an illness, even one that seems most trivial; all the times God has comforted you when you faced trials; all the times God has granted you moments of joy, alone or with your loved ones. Let us think of all the times God has forgiven us our faults and been patient with us.

I think back to all the times God patiently waited for me to change and come to Him. I was rebellious against God, I often closed my ears to His will, because I always wanted to follow the desires of my heart; but God, He was patient and stood at the door of my heart to say to me: "Come back to me my child, so that darkness will no longer be your portion."

Following my desires has only brought me torment. So I invite you once again to look inward and ask, "What have I gained all this time by following my heart's desires?" What have I gained by wanting to fight my battles alone, or by solving my problems with my own intelligence and putting God aside?

I particularly like this verse from Matthew 11:28-30

“28 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

This verse mentioned above reminds me every day that I am not alone and I do not have to carry my burdens, because someone is there, Jesus Christ, to allow me to unload my weights, my problems, and to know happiness every day of my life. I just have to trust Him and know that whatever the situation, my savior will act in my favor. If for our children, our loved ones, we know how to get up to help them when things are not going well, how much more so the Son who gave his life so that we can live in the glory of God every day of our lives.

Today I thank you, Lord, for all your blessings.

Be glorified and magnified!

In the name of Jesus Christ be blessed!

Amen.
