We cannot quantify God's love for us or estimate it, because this love is infinite.
God’s love surpasses anything we can imagine. Most often when we sin, or are struck by misfortune, we tell ourselves that God has distanced himself from us. God has never distanced himself from Man whatever the circumstances. “The Lord said: When this people comes near to me, He honors me with his mouth and with his lips; But his heart is far from me, And the fear he has of me is only a precept of human tradition. » (Isaiah 29:13)
God is near each of us every day. Even when we think we are lost or that everything is lost, God always opens a door at the ideal moment to take us out of our sadness, our anxieties, our fears, our sin.
“This is love: it was not we who loved God, but he loved us, and sent his Son to sacrifice of forgiveness for our sins. » (1 John 4:10). “See how much the Father has loved us: we are called children of God, and we really are!” » (1 John 3:1).
God creates us in his image, He endowed us with the word by which, He created the heaven - the earth and all that it contains. He endowed us with his spirit so pure and powerful. He placed man in the beginning in a magnificent garden, telling him that he has dominion over his creation. He made the woman so that both would experience perfect happiness. “Then God said: "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness! Let him have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." God created man in his image, he created him in the image of God. *He created man and woman. » (Genesis 1:26-27).
Everything God did was for Man and for him to experience unparalleled happiness because it is written: “God looked at everything he had made, and he found that it was very good. There was evening and there was morning. It was the sixth day. » (Genesis 1:31). God rejoiced in his creation, He rejoiced in having made us.
Even in sin and God's abandonment by Men for false gods, God still showed His infinite love by sending His son Jesus Christ to die for us.
“In the beginning, the Word already existed. The Word was with God and the Word was God. She was in the beginning with God. Everything was done by her and nothing that was done was done without her. In her there was life, and this life was the light of human beings. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not received it. » (John 1:1-5).
Jesus Christ not only gave his life so that we might be cleansed from our sins, but in his act of faith and love, he gave his life to may we be restored completely as when we were formed. It was a question, through this sacrifice, of rediscovering the original state of Man at his creation, the divine state because we were shaped in the image of God the creator of all things and all beings. It was a question of handing over to Man the creation of his creator as on the first day mentioned above in Genesis 1: 26-27. It was about reestablishing the alliance between God the Father and Man, Jesus Christ being the bridge, reason why no one can be united with God without going through Jesus Christ. “Jesus said to him: 'I am the way, the truth and the life. You only come to the Father through me. If you knew me, you would also know my Father. And from now on you know him and you have seen him.” (John 14:6-7).
When a thief wants to take our hard-earned goods, the first reaction of many is to defend our assets so that they are not stolen. So today let us stand up to defend what the Lord has given us as an inheritance. We know that the enemy does not sleep and is constantly on the prowl because like this thief who wants to steal our assets, Jesus Christ tells us: “The thief only comes to steal, kill and destroy; I have come so that the sheep may have life and have it abundantly. » (John 10:10). So like soldiers united in Jesus Christ, let us rise and take our places as at the creation by Jesus Christ our savior.
“He who abides in me, and in whom I abide, he bears much fruit. As the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Stay in my love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete. » (John 15:6-11).
